On the morning of June 19, a scientific seminar themed “Urban and Regional Development Management in the New Era: Digital Revolution for Business Development and Sustainable Urban Growth” was held at Hanoi Architectural University. The event attracted significant interest from experts, researchers, businesses, and regulatory authorities in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and urban development from across the country.
As part of the seminar, Dr. Han Minh Cuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of S-GROUP Joint Stock Company, delivered a presentation entitled “Smart Urban Management: Applying Digital Technologies in the New Era.”

The event brought together numerous experts and scholars from the construction industry.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Han Minh Cuong highlighted the current state of urban management in Vietnam and the challenges it faces, as rapid urbanization continues to place significant pressure on infrastructure, the environment, and management efficiency. In response to these challenges, Vietnam urgently needs to transform its urban management model towards a smarter, data-driven approach, leveraging advancements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and cloud computing. These technologies can help improve urban governance efficiency and strengthen interaction between local authorities and citizens.
Therefore, it is essential to develop and implement appropriate solutions aligned with the Smart City Criteria issued by the Ministry of Construction to accelerate digital transformation in urban management across Vietnam.
