On January 11, 2024, the Minister of Transport signed Decision No. 26/QĐ-BGTVT, approving the task and budget for developing the Master Plan for Cần Thơ International Airport for the period 2021–2030, with a vision toward 2050. ACUD Vietnam Technology Construction JSC is honored to be the consulting unit responsible for preparing the planning task for this project.
The scope of the study includes the existing planning of Cần Thơ International Airport and its surrounding areas. The goal is to plan and allocate space reasonably to ensure the development of Cần Thơ International Airport aligns with air transport demand and the direction of the national master plan for the airport system for the period 2021–2030, with a vision toward 2050. This must adhere to national civil aviation standards, military airport standards, and the recommendations and standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
As one of the leading consulting firms in the field of urban planning, ACUD Vietnam has participated in and formed alliances to carry out numerous national, regional, and provincial planning projects, approved by appraisal councils and the Prime Minister. These include the Master Plan for Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2021–2023, with a vision toward 2050; the Master Plans for Hải Dương, Vĩnh Phúc, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu, Quảng Ninh, Bắc Kạn, and Điện Biên provinces, each for the period 2021–2030, with a vision toward 2050; as well as other urban and district planning projects such as the General Planning of Uông Bí City, Biên Hòa City, Tam Nông District, and the Northwestern Region of Thái Bình City.
Regarding the task and budget for developing the Master Plan for Cần Thơ International Airport for the period 2021–2030, with a vision toward 2050, this is one of five planning projects where ACUD Vietnam is honored to serve as the consulting unit, officially approved by the Ministry of Transport.
It can be said that in the planning process, the consulting unit responsible for developing the planning tasks plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are implemented effectively and meet technical and legal requirements.
