The “International Hotel Lao Cai” project is a large-scale development that has been encouraged by the leadership of Lao Cai province and various departments. The consulting firm, ACUD Investment and Construction Design Consulting Joint Stock Company, has collaborated with the investor, Donaco Company of the Genting hotel group, to prepare the project and design the construction drawings in a short period to ensure the schedule and quickly move into the construction phase. The project is expected to be completed and put into use by 2013. This is a large, modern, international-scale project aimed at enhancing the beauty and bringing significant economic benefits to Lao Cai city.

On February 1, 2010, representatives from ACUD and Donaco met in Malaysia to finalize the design. The main building is designed to include a 4-star hotel with 426 rooms, 15 floors high.
