On September 18, 2024, the People’s Committee of Vinh Thanh District issued Decision No. 3447/QD-UBND approving the detailed construction zoning plan at a 1/500 scale for the Vinh Thanh Industrial Park (Phase 1) infrastructure investment and development project in Can Tho City. ACUD Vietnam Technology Construction Joint Stock Company, a member of the S-Group Vietnam, is honored to be the consulting unit for the project planning.

The location is Vinh Trinh commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho city. The total area of the planning is approximately 293.7 hectares, with 291.2 hectares allocated for the industrial park and 2.5 hectares for the power grid corridor. The expected workforce size is around 15,000 to 20,000 people.

The planning of Vinh Thanh Industrial Park – VSIP Can Tho aims to achieve the following objectives:

• Establishing an industrial park with modern, synchronous technical infrastructure systems that fully meet the infrastructure needs of investors, creating a favorable environment for production activities within the park, and contributing to attracting investment for the economic and social development of Can Tho City.
• Organizing and arranging the functional areas of the industrial park in a full and reasonable manner.
• Organizing the industrial land space based on principles of high efficiency, maximizing land use, and flexibly meeting the diverse needs of investors.
• Organizing the road network to ensure smooth, safe connectivity with the highest efficiency.
• Arranging a synchronized and modern technical infrastructure system to fully meet the needs of investors, ensuring connection to external infrastructure systems, and maximizing economic efficiency in construction investment.
• The industrial park’s planning is based on sustainable development principles and environmental protection.

This zoning plan will serve as the legal basis for managing construction in accordance with the plan and for the development of investment projects for infrastructure and architectural works by secondary investors.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Vinh Thanh Industrial Park – VSIP Can Tho project was held recently.

The VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park is planned with a total area of 900 hectares, located in Vinh Trinh Commune, Vinh Thanh District, Can Tho City. When completed, the industrial park is expected to create jobs for 100,000 workers and attract an investment of 3.5 billion USD.

VSIP Can Tho is being developed with the goal of becoming a smart and sustainable industrial park. It aims to become a major food processing and distribution center in the southern region, establishing a “from center to port” logistics network and supporting infrastructure to best meet the supply chain needs of investors.

The first phase covers an area of 293.7 hectares and is expected to create jobs for 20,000 to 30,000 workers. The project is strategically located at the intersection of the region’s vertical and horizontal expressways, bordering three provinces: Dong Thap, An Giang, and Hau Giang, with easy access to the port system, airports, and other utility services in the city center.
