AIST Institute of Construction Science and Technology – a member unit of S-Group Vietnam – has just opened a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) course at the headquarters of TAC Architecture Consulting Joint Stock Company.

This course is organized by AIST in cooperation with the Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Application Research Center, University of Science, Hanoi National University. The course participants are technical staff from TAC Architecture Consulting Joint Stock Company, specialists from the Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen, and the Department of Construction of Bac Kan.

The basic GIS course provides participants with essential GIS knowledge, especially skills in using ArcGIS software – the leading GIS system today, offering comprehensive solutions ranging from data collection, adjustment, analysis, and distribution of information on the Internet to various levels, such as personal geographic databases or enterprise-level databases.

The course instructor is Dr. Nguyen Xuan Linh, a lecturer in the Geographic Information major at the University of Science, Hanoi; and Vice Director of the AIST Institute of Construction Science and Technology.
