AIST Institute of Construction Science and Technology – a member of S-Group Vietnam Corporation – has recently launched a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) course at the headquarters of TAC Architecture Consulting Joint Stock Company.

This course is organized by AIST in collaboration with the Center for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Application, Faculty of Geology, University of Science – Hanoi National University. The course participants include technical staff from TAC Architecture Consulting JSC, specialists from the Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen, and the Department of Construction of Bac Kan.

The Basic GIS course equips participants with fundamental knowledge of GIS, particularly skills in using ArcGIS software – the leading GIS system today, which provides comprehensive solutions from data collection, correction, analysis, and distribution of information on the Internet across different levels such as personal geographic databases or corporate databases.

The course instructor is Dr. Nguyen Xuan Linh – a lecturer in Geoinformatics at the University of Science, Hanoi; and Deputy Director of AIST Institute of Construction Science and Technology.
