On May 18, 2023, the People’s Committee of Long Thanh District organized a scientific workshop to gather feedback on the Planning of Dong Nai Province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, according to Plan No. 89/KH-UBND dated April 5, 2023, issued by the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province.
This workshop holds significant importance as the Planning of Dong Nai Province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is a strategic plan that serves as a development orientation both in the short and long term for Long Thanh District and each commune-level locality.
ACUD Vietnam Construction Technology Joint Stock Company (ACUD Consult), in its role as the consulting unit, presented the main contents of the planning project, the economic-social development scenarios, and the directions for key sectors of the province.

The planning work is considered a top-priority task, creating the highest legal framework and serving as a crucial tool for formulating strategies, establishing socio-economic spatial development orientations, and effectively allocating and utilizing resources in the area in the upcoming period.
The workshop was attended by Mr. Duong Minh Dung – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Long Thanh District Party Committee; Mr. Le Hoang Son – Vice Chairman of the Long Thanh District People’s Committee, along with leaders from various agencies, departments, communes, towns, and the consulting unit.

In his directive speech at the workshop, Mr. Duong Minh Dung emphasized the importance of this planning, highlighting its long-term impact on the development of Dong Nai Province as a whole and Long Thanh District in particular. He stressed the need to develop solutions aligned with the province’s development orientations, focusing on key breakthrough areas while ensuring synchronized implementation, especially in transportation infrastructure.
Delegates Contribute to the Planning Discussion at the Workshop
During the workshop, representatives from district and commune sectors provided input and additional information on the list of key projects for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. They also discussed future orientations for transportation and urban development, as well as shared related documents regarding the planned locations of urban areas, industrial zones, and clusters.

At the conclusion of the conference, Mr. Lê Hoàng Sơn, Vice Chairman of the Long Thành District People’s Committee, suggested that the district’s sectors continue to review the documents and work closely with the consulting unit to provide further input and supplement the plan, particularly in areas that are unique to the district. This includes paying more attention to cultural aspects and the spiritual life of the people. Additionally, there should be an emphasis on developing irrigation infrastructure to support agricultural production and improving transportation infrastructure to connect regions both domestically and internationally. It is especially important to establish specific timelines for implementation in the planning process and determine funding sources for the various components.
