On September 9, 2023, the Vĩnh Thạnh Industrial Park Project – VSIP Cần Thơ was officially launched. S-Group Vietnam Corporation and ACUD Consult are honored to be the design consultancy for the project.
The VSIP Cần Thơ Industrial Park is planned to cover a total area of 900 hectares, located in Vĩnh Trinh Commune, Vĩnh Thạnh District, Cần Thơ City. Once completed, the industrial park is expected to create jobs for 100,000 workers and attract 3.5 billion USD in investment.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with the first 10 investors in the industrial park.
VSIP Cần Thơ is oriented to be developed as an intelligent and sustainable industrial park. It aims to become a major food processing and distribution center in the southern region, establishing a logistics network “from the center to the port” and providing supporting infrastructure to meet investors’ supply chain needs. As part of the launch ceremony, VSIP signed MOUs with 12 investors for land leasing and business cooperation.
The first phase covers 293.7 hectares, and is expected to create employment for 20,000 to 30,000 workers. The project is strategically located at the intersection of major vertical and horizontal expressways in the Mekong Delta, bordering three provinces: Đồng Tháp, An Giang, and Hậu Giang, with easy connections to the port system, airports, and the city’s services.

Mr. Koh Chiap Khiong, CEO of Sembcorp Industries for the Singapore and Southeast Asia markets – representing Becamex, Sembcorp, VSIP, stated that the Vĩnh Thạnh Industrial Park – VSIP Cần Thơ is the first VSIP project in the Mekong Delta region (ĐBSCL).
“We plan to establish a logistics network from the center to the port at VSIP Cần Thơ with additional facilities to support and enhance the supply chain needs of tenants,” said Mr. Koh Chiap Khiong.
Mr. Trần Việt Trường, Chairman of Cần Thơ City People’s Committee, mentioned that the launch of the Vĩnh Thạnh Industrial Park – VSIP Cần Thơ is one of the key events celebrating the 20th anniversary of Cần Thơ becoming a centrally governed city (01/01/2004 – 01/01/2024).
“The local government of Cần Thơ is committed to providing the best possible conditions for both domestic and international businesses throughout the investment and operational process in the region,” emphasized Mr. Trường.
