On November 3, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1288/QD-TTg approving the Master Plan for Bac Kan Province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050. ACUD Consult is honored to be the consulting unit responsible for the planning.
According to the approval, the planning scope covers the entire natural area of Bac Kan Province, with an area of 4,859.96 km², including 8 administrative units: Bac Kan City and 7 districts (Cho Moi, Cho Don, Bach Thong, Ngan Son, Ba Be, Na Ri, and Pac Nam).
The Bac Kan Provincial Master Plan is considered a crucial element for economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security, as well as international integration and foreign relations within the area. It serves as the foundation for policy formulation, investment planning, and creating development drivers. The official hopes to continue receiving contributions to help the province implement breakthrough points and drivers to foster comprehensive socio-economic development in the coming period.

The plan sets the goal that by 2030, Bac Kan will become a moderately developed and sustainable province in the region, with a development space system that is harmonious and reasonable between urban and rural areas, and between economic development zones and ecological and cultural preservation areas. The economy will develop in a green and dynamic direction, with a modern and synchronized infrastructure system for both economic-social infrastructure and digital infrastructure. Cultural and social sectors will receive investments focused on improving the quality of life for the people, while preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of local ethnic groups. National defense, security, and social order will be stable and sustainable, and international cooperation and integration will continue to deepen.
Looking towards 2050, Bac Kan is expected to have a dynamic economy, performing well compared to other localities in the country. Its development space will be harmonious between urban and rural areas, with cities being built in an ecological, modern, and sustainable direction. The province aims to become a high-quality health tourism and wellness destination and will be one of the most livable places in the country.
