The Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 1629/QD-TTg approving the Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Provincial Planning Project for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. ACUD Vietnam is honored to be a member of the consortium of consulting units responsible for the project’s planning.
Accordingly, the planning area covers the entire natural land area of Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu province, with an area of over 1982 km², including the administrative units: Bà Rịa City, Vũng Tàu City, Phú Mỹ Town, and the districts of Châu Đức, Đất Đỏ, Long Điền, Xuyên Mộc, and Côn Đảo.

The Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Provincial Planning is considered aligned with the national development orientation and vision. It is a crucial part of the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security for the Southeastern Region by 2030, with a vision to 2045. Additionally, it capitalizes on the competitive advantages offered by the national special-class seaport system, marine and island advantages, natural resources, and the province’s strategic role and location within the Southeastern Region.
The plan sets the goal for 2030 to develop Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province comprehensively, transforming it into one of the key driving areas of the Southeastern Region. It aims to be a national marine economic hub and one of the top 5 coastal economic development regions in the country. By 2030, it is expected to meet the basic criteria for becoming a centrally governed city, with a multi-central urban structure and a multi-modal transportation infrastructure. The province will maintain a strong position within the top 10 regions with the highest GRDP and total state budget revenue in the country.
